Just $1 can provide 6.25 pounds of

food to a hungry neighbor

The Food Pantries for the Capital District is working in partnership with Schenectady County Public Health Services in order to provide a training to local food pantries and community food assistance providers on how to best provide healthy and nutritious food to our neighbors in need. This training took place on July 10th from 8:30am– 12:00pm at Schenectady County Community College. This training provided insights into working with partners to source healthy foods, finding healthy resources, and encouraging clients to make healthier food choices. We also provided examples of successful models as well as effective policies and procedures along with additional resources.
