TO BENEFIT THE FOOD PANTRIES FOR THE CAPITAL DISTRICT

Harvest Evening Celebration is an annual fundraising gala that takes place every October. This year Harvest Evening is going virtual. Throughout the month of October, The Food Pantries will host a number of virtual events in conjunction with this year’s Harvest Evening Celebration Goes Virtual Series. The Harvest Evening Celebration features “The Food Pantry Chef’s Challenge.” This year’s Challenge will stream online throughout the month of October. Well-known, local chefs will be asked to incorporate food items commonly stocked at our member pantries in their recipes. The month-long celebration will culminate in an online VIP Virtual Reception and in-person receptions details to follow.. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with locally well know chefs...ask questions, talk about techniques, discuss wines. There will also be a wine pull and an online silent auction.
You can support The Food Pantries' nearly 70 food pantries and the more than 65,000 neighbors in need that were helped in 2019 by participating in this year's event. Your participation allows us to provide additional support to pantries in the form of increased food delivery and distribution as need increases and the economic effects of the pandemic continue to unfold. It supports our infant needs program, pop-up produce stands in low-access neighborhoods, community outreach, and volunteer programs.
